Homonyms



A homonym is a word that has the same spelling and the same pronunciation as another word, but has a different meaning from it. For example, bill can be a noun meaning a written statement of money owed, but it can also be a noun meaning a bird's beak. Similarly, fair can be an adjective meaning attractive, but it can also be a noun meaning a market. There are many more such words.
